property description: Greencuisine runs hands-on, nutrition led cookery courses and retreats that highlight the connection between diet and health. Experienced chefs, medical and alternative practitioners work together to create courses that mix therapy, nutrition, and most importantly - cooking and eating delicious, fresh, organic food. Courses take place in the comfort of Penrhos Hotel, the first hotel to be awarded organic certification by the Soil Association. Greencuisine aims to help people achieve optimum health by expanding their knowledge on food and the environment by providing; nutritional advice, information on the body and how it uses food, introductions to natural therapies, one-to-one consultations with health experts, knowledge of natural methods to maintain good health, knowledge on how to source organic ingredients in their home area, information on relevant practitioners in their area, website information and lots of practical cooking sessions preparing delicious food that contains the essential nutrients for life. Greencuisine is directed and run by Daphne Lambert (Nutritionist, Chef) and Dr Kim Jobst (Integrated Physician). Greencuisine is based on the belief that our food should be organic, local, as near to its natural state as possible and in season. Participant numbers are kept small to insure individual attention from the experienced team.

Penrhos was a pioneer 25 years ago when it opened as one of the first high class organic restaurants. In the restaurant, Chef/Nutritionist/Author - Daphne Lambert uses only the freshest ingredients of the highest organic quality and prepares them in a way that does not mask their natural flavours or strip the food of its nutritional value, special diets, vegetarian and vegan menus are happily created.
The wines are all organic or biodynamic and come from the vineyards of the most dedicated growers and wine makers. These high standards are carried through to the hotel. All linen and bath towels are 100% organic cotton, every complimentary gift is sourced from environmentally aware companies such as Neal’s Yard and Duchy Originals and all cleaning and laundering products are eco-friendly.
